**Job Summary**:
Physical Demands: Consistent use of proper body mechanics in carrying out directives and other activities. Required to lift objects up to 50 pounds or push residents/clients up to 300 lbs. in wheelchairs. Required to stand for long periods of time without relief; bending, walking, pushing, pulling, holding, stretching, twisting, and turning are also required.
The position carries no specific management authority or responsibilities. The incumbent will be responsible to use corporate fiscal resources at his/her disposal in a responsible manner.
**Qualifications/Terms & Conditions**:
- Grade 12 Diploma.
- Minimum of one year of experience in working with the public.
- Minimum of one year of experience in working with the Elderly and Disabled.
- Previous experience within a hospital or seniors/extended care environment will be an asset.
- Certification in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation CPR or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
- Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Secure and maintain certification in Privacy and Confidentiality.
- Provide up-to-date immunization records.
- Able to complete repetitive tasks, lift 50 pounds.
- Able to work within a team environment.
- Willing and able to model healthy behaviour and habits.
- Preference will be given to a member or resident of Sagamok Anishnawbek.
- Sign and maintain an annual oath of confidentiality.
- Secure and maintain certification in Privacy and Confidentiality.
- Must provide a criminal record check prior to commencing employment.
