Webcast Specialist

What part will you play?
The Webcast Specialist is the liaison between the client, the webcast team, and the service provider

team. The overall goal is to coordinate, plan, execute, maintain, and monitor streaming integrity and

overall streaming operations.

What will you be doing?
- The purpose of the Webcast Specialist is to coordinate the loading and operational for the content of the webcasts. This includes pre-show, day of show, and post-show activities: ingesting of content, show slide advancement, polling question push, chat, webcast archive file creation and webcast metrics.
- Work with the client a per show basis to have any custom development requests created. Create, Deliver, & Administer webcast links for program.
- Ingesting & uploading show content (polling questions, PowerPoint slides, chat configuration, survey questions, Q&A seed questions, additional resources)
- Work with the question moderator to train him/her on the QA moderation workflow.
- Work with the client to communicate webcast/streaming best practices and key learnings.
- Provide operational support for event creation, pre-production, event production, and post-production archiving.
- Coordinate with all 3rd party suppliers and vendors for issue escalation.
- Work with supplier to ensure proper use cases, testing, and implementation of streaming, encoding, and network protocol for platform.
- Work with 3rd party product vendor to determine overall solutions and impact to system changes and fixes, as required.
- Establish and enforce procedures to keep video streaming/webcast systems in acceptable working order.
- Operate and support encoding and streaming during webcast/streaming events.
- Work in partnership with client production staff to execute flawless events.
- Other duties as assigned

**Physical Working Environment**:
Office, Studio, Clean, Open Cubicle Work, Corporate. Ability to move 50-75lbs of equipment.

**Job Qualifications**:
**Education/Certifications**:

- Four-year degree in Broadcast Production or related demonstrated experience
- 3-5 Years working in Studio Control Room Operations
- 2-4 Years’ experience with Streaming Technologies and Live Event Video Capture and Distribution for Enterprise client

**Required/Desired Knowledge, Experience and Skills**:

- Experience as a Technical Director/Live Productions and Broadcast/Webcast Technologies
- Proven ability to mentor/assist and train clients for successful live presentations
- Working with client Producer and production specialist to ensure the team successful executes and delivers live video production webcasts and studio shoots daily.
- Background in streaming technologies, events, live production, and technical options of delivery, working knowledge of streaming technology and protocols (RTMP, Encryption, CDN, etc.)
- Extensive Experience as a Technical Director/Live Productions and Broadcast/Webcast Technologies
- Knowledge of Sherpa, Microsoft Teams Live, Zoom, WebEx Events, Bluejeans, Web Conferencing Tools
- Huge Plus: Working knowledge of web technologies and concepts (html, CSS, JavaScript)
