We are currently seeking a _**Preservation & Maintenance Technician**_ to join our _**Red Deer/Rimbey Operations Team**_. This position requires mechanical proficiency, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety while performing preservation and maintenance tasks on rotating equipment and engines.

In this role, you will also be responsible for:

- Conducting preservation procedures on idle/stored engines (e.g. protective costings, sealing, flushing systems).
- Performing preventative maintenance and documenting activities with accuracy.
- Troubleshooting mechanical issues and assisting with root cause analyses.
- Supporting overhaul and rebuild processes with correct re-preservation protocols.
- Collaborating with Parts and Operations teams to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient workflows.
- **Qualifications and Skills**_

**Required**
- Grade 12 Diploma
- Minimum **3 years of experience** in engine maintenance or rotating equipment, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong understanding of **diesel and/or natural gas** engines, compressors, and pumps.
- Hands on knowledge of corrosion prevention, system flushing and mechanical preservation.
- Competence in reading and interpreting technical manuals and drawings.
- Computer proficiency and ability to sue maintenance management systems

**Preferred**
- Experience in parts sales and equipment inventory processes
- Familiarity with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) maintenance guidelines
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in team settings.

**Working Conditions**
- Primarily shop and field-based role.
- Exposure to loud environments, heavy equipment, and varying weather conditions.
