Analyst, Commercial Lending

**Analyst, Commercial Lending**:
**Vancouver, BC**

**Salary Range**:$55,000 - $70,000/yr

CMLS Financial is looking for an Analyst, Commercial Lending to join our growing team. You will be responsible for supporting our conventional lending program and underwriting teams, including the preparation of various reporting, reviewing and summarizing new commercial lending opportunities, and assisting in the preparation of underwriting presentations.

**About the Role**

In this role, you will provide timely and proactive support by:

- Analyzing and interpreting financial data and credit information on real estate assets and borrower’s, including underwriting property cash flow analysis, valuing real estate assets, reviewing financial statements and assessing credit risk
- Maintaining ongoing interaction with both internal and external stakeholders as needed to ensure timelines are met and service levels are maintained
- Working as part of a team in the preparation and review of commercial lending opportunities, including being able to efficiently summarize and assess key deal attributes
- Staying current with market information and commercial mortgage market trends
- Performing other duties in keeping with the purpose and accountabilities of the job, such as preparing reports, assisting with compliance-related tasks and completing department projects as assigned

**This role is for you if**:

- You have approximately 1 year (or more) of experience working in the Commercial Real Estate Risk industry (preferred but not required)
- You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and are able to work well independently as well as within a team environment
- You have experience creating and delivering business presentations and strong technical writing skills
- You are very results-driven and possess strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail
- You take ownership of your work and demonstrate a high degree of accountability and commitment at all times
- You have completed an undergraduate degree in one of the following concentrations: finance, economics, urban land development, accounting or business administration
- You are an intermediate/advanced level user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- You have a passion for real estate combined with an understanding of financial and statement analysis
