**MAINTENANCE PLANNER**
($67,712.13 - $78,694.16 Annually)

Reporting to the Manager, Maintenance, the Maintenance Planner is responsible for implementing and maintaining a comprehensive program of preventative maintenance for all assigned facilities and equipment within the real estate portfolio of the Lower Mainland. He/she/they works indirectly with operational staff at a centralized maintenance facility located in the Lower Mainland. The position is responsible for developing the operational parameters for the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and also provides technical and administrative support to other regional CMMS systems, province-wide.
**CANDIDATE PROFILE**
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**:
- Bachelor’s degree in facilities, maintenance management, or other relevant discipline.
- Considerable experience in maintenance management and planning.
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience acceptable to the employer.
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:
- Considerable knowledge of programs, practices, and processes associated with computerized Maintenance Management and corrective and preventative maintenance principles
- Considerable knowledge of building technology and Federal, Provincial, and Municipal codes
Knowledge of enterprise-wide maintenance planning software and an understanding of operating systems, networking, and remote computing software
- Ability to learn and understand the Commission’s programs and operating requirements
- Ability to understand technical processes relating to building materials, construction, equipment, machinery, materials and/or facility maintenance
- Ability to exercise functional reasoning and independent judgment to adopt or modify methods to meet variations in assigned objectives
- Ability to exercise the judgment, decisiveness, and creativity required in situations involving evaluation of information against measurable or verifiable criteria.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and within a team setting
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
