**Job Title**: Health Care Assistant (HCA)Location: Long-Term Care Facility, North Nanaimo, BCJob Summary:
The Health Care Assistant will provide compassionate and efficient care to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met in accordance with the facility’s protocols and the residents' personal care plans.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Personal Care**: Assist residents with personal hygiene activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
- **Health Monitoring**: Monitor residents’ health by observing their physical and mental conditions, taking vital signs, and reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
- **Support Mobility**: Aid residents in walking, transferring, and using mobility aids and transporting them using wheelchairs or other supportive devices.
- **Meal Assistance**: Help with preparing and serving meals, and assist residents with eating when necessary.
- **Medication Assistance**: Assist in administering medications as prescribed by the healthcare provider, under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
- **Activity Involvement**: Encourage and assist residents to participate in daily activities and special events organized by the facility.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of residents' care, condition, and activities.
- **Compliance and Safety**: Adhere to all facility policies regarding health, safety, and privacy; participate in training and safety drills.

Pay: $29.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
