**Why We Need You**:
We’re looking for a **Demand Planner** to help us accurately forecast demand to provide our customers with superior product availability while keeping high inventory turns. You will be actively working with your peers and our Category Management Team at Article to make sure we have the right products, in the right quantities, in the right location, and at the right time to meet our customers' demand.

This role requires a keen analytical mindset, strong communication skills, and the capacity to collaborate smoothly with cross-functional teams (Category, Marketing, Finance) to improve the overall effectiveness of our supply chain operations.

**About our Supply Chain Planning Team**:
Size of Team and Dynamic:
The Supply Chain Planning team is around 15 members and growing. As a Demand Planner, you will be reporting to the Senior Manager, Demand Planning and will be responsible for leading the charge on all demand planning within your dedicated category. We are also a very collaborative team that works closely together in tackling issues and implementing solutions to relentlessly pursue remarkably better

You’ll be located in Greater Vancouver but we are a hybrid team - you'll be in the office 3 days per week.

Tools You Will Use:
As a company founded by engineers, we have internally-developed systems which are continuously updated and improved, both for demand and supply planning. And we have recently implemented AWS machine learning forecasting to estimate future demand.

**What You'll Do**:

- Monitoring, reporting, and taking all necessary actions to improve and achieve our targets of forecast accuracy, fill rate, and inventory turns KPIs
- Generating and updating demand forecasts for 500+ SKUs by reviewing sales history, upcoming marketing promotions, seasonality patterns, and new product introductions
- Updating and maintaining the forecasting model along with the data team
- Continuously working with the data team to improve the model’s output and accuracy
- Lead the demand planning conversation in S&OP meetings
- Take ownership of actual sales vs the demand plan and support in better in-flight management of sales and promotional activities
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction for Article products

**Who You Are**:

- 3 years of experience in supply chain management in a Demand Planning Specific role. You love taking all of the inputs gathered and leading the charge on monthly demand plans
- Demand Planning/Forecasting, Purchasing, and inventory management experience
- Familiarity with different ordering systems (replenishment methodologies)
- Previous experience managing seasonal product, an asset
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
- Effective communication skills to convey forecasts and collaborate with various teams, including sales, marketing, category management, finance, and supply chain
- Lastly, someone who thrives in an environment that will change quickly in the pursuit of being remarkably better. I.e. always looking for continuous improvement in our current processes
- Legally able to work in Canada (or US)
- Completion of criminal background check
