**We're Hiring Line Cook/ Dishwasher (Full-time Kitchen helper) - Jinsei Ramen, Centretown Ottawa**

**Join our small but passionate team at Jinsei Ramen, a cozy and friendly Japanese ramen restaurant located in the heart of Centretown**
We’re looking for a **dedicated Line Cook / Dishwasher (Kitchen helper)**who can help general kitchen works and occasionally support front-of-house operations.
- **About the Position**

**Main Role**:
You'll support the overall operation of our restaurant — from **line cooking and prep work to dishwashing and receiving deliveries**. Our environment is small and team-oriented, so flexibility and a willingness to help out where needed is key

**What You'll Do**:

- Prep ingredients and cook according to our in-house recipes
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards
- Wash dishes and kitchen tools
- Help receive deliveries (must be able to lift 20-25kg)
- Occasionally assist our front servers when needed
- Follow our restaurant standards with printed guides and on-site training
- **Schedule & Hours**

Because our restaurant has a break between lunch and dinner (3:00-5:00 PM), we schedule shifts in two parts:

- **Lunch Shifts**: 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM **or** 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM
- **Dinner Shifts**: 4:45 PM - 9:45 PM **or** 5:30 PM - 9:45 PM
- **Expected Weekly Hours**: 35 to 40 hours
- **Hourly Pay**: $19/hr
- **Must be fully available to work Any schedules from Monday to Saturday (We closed on Sunday)**
- **Living nearby is a big plus** It makes lunch breaks easier since you can go home and come back quickly.
- **Who We're Looking For**
- At least **2 years of line cook experience** in a full dine-in restaurant environment (required)
- **Dishwashing experience** is an asset
- Able to multitask and work independently
- Positive attitude and good team player
- Good English communication skills
- **Must be reliable and responsible** - punctuality is important
- Able to work full time
- Follow food hygiene practices (No perfume No jewelry during Work)
- **Non-smokers only** (due to policy, not break-time issues)
