Cheakamus Centre is an Outdoor, Experiential Learning Facility located in Paradise Valley mid-way between Vancouver and Whistler. Just off the Sea to Sky Highway, North of Brackendale, B.C.

Cheakamus Center has been in continuous operation for more than 50 years as the home of the Outdoor School Program for students in the North Vancouver School District. Owned by the North Vancouver School District, Cheakamus has been operating with the contribution of Listel Hospitality Group for the last 11 years.

Cheakamus offers a wide range of educational programming to schools from across the Lower Mainland as well as groups from across B.C. Cheakamus also hosts a variety of private group functions such as Weddings, Corporate Retreats, Summer Camps and Encounters to a wide range of customers from Youth to Seniors. Cheakamus also provides for Offsite Catering needs.

This is a dynamic work environment, which includes Farm and Animal Husbandry on site, providing opportunities to develop many Programs relating to the growing and production of foods.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with the planning and development of menus
- Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow proper cooking techniques and presentation guidelines

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food preparation and handling techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 48 per week
