The Faculty of Health Sciences is a large, diverse, and comprehensive unit, comprised of seven Schools (Nursing, Kinesiology, Health Studies, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Communication Sciences and Disorders and Food and Nutritional Sciences), a large Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and four Research Centers. The Faculty has more than 4,000 undergraduate students and more than 900 graduate students (200 PhD students).

**Responsibilities**:

The Training Coordinator will play a vital role in training and mentoring our program staff at the Brescia School of Food & Nutritional Sciences, facilitating their seamless integration into Western University. This individual will provide guidance on university policies and procedures related to admissions, student progression, awards, scholarships, and accommodations. Additionally, they will collaborate closely with the Academic Advisor and Undergraduate Chairs to ensure a smooth workflow and effective communication throughout the department.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Undergraduate Degree, in Business Management/Administration preferred

**Experience**:

- 1 year of administrative experience in an office environment

Skills, Abilities & Expertise:

- Knowledge of general office procedures
- Familiarity with financial records management
- Familiarity with Human Resources principles and practices
- Familiarity with University policies and procedures preferred
- Ability to ensure expenditures and resources are within allotments, and to make appropriate modifications when required
- Ability to foster collaboration and respect among team members
- Communication skills with confidence interacting with individuals at all levels of an organization
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Customer service skills with a desire to achieve results in a professional and timely manner
- Detail-oriented with an ability to function and process information with high levels of accuracy
- Ability to create a positive impression while interacting with others and responding to inquiries, by telephone, in person or electronically
- Results-oriented with an ability to handle many tasks and maintain a high level of individual and team performance
