Lonza Kingston is **IMMEDIATELY** hiring a Quality Intern to join our cross-disciplinary Personalized Medicine team for 12-16 months to leverage controls of quality processes KPIs (key performance indicators) and act as a key member in Quality Improvement projects to meet Quality goals and cost reduction.
This position is located on site at our Kingston office.
Key responsibilities:
- Define, create, and update logs on Quality System processes which include complaints, nonconformance reports, deviations, change controls, and corrective actions to provide meaningful and timely KPI to the organization.
- Participate in migration of product Design History File and other quality documents into the electronic Document Management System.
- Provide critical analysis of Quality Control Plan and Risk Management documentation.
- Ensures the company complies with the Quality Policy, Quality Manual, and local requirements.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement activities, corrective action planning, and customer satisfaction initiatives as assigned.
- Present results to the direct supervisor and members of the team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED required and must be an Undergraduate student pursuing a degree in the field of Science, Engineering or Business.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills required.
- Enthusiasm for continuous improvement required.
- Must be detail-oriented, highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently as well as on a team required.
- Past experience working within a quality management system or regulated environment is beneficial.
- Must be able to work full-time (37.5 hours per week), Monday through Friday.
