Your Impact as a Health Care Aide:
As a Health Care Aide with Better Way Home Care, you'll play an indispensable role in providing a wide range of essential services, including:
- Personal care assistance: Supporting clients with transferring, positioning, mobility, and personal hygiene.
- Medication support: Assisting and reminding clients to take their medications as prescribed.
- Health and wellness: Providing simple wound care, health education, and assistance with therapeutic exercises.
- Nutritional support: Helping with meal planning and specialized diets.
- Emotional and social well-being: Offering companionship and emotional support.
- Client transportation: Assisting clients with errands and appointments.
- Collaboration: Working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
What We're Looking For:
- Exceptional communication skills: Above-average verbal and written communication is essential.
- Professional credentials: Valid HCA certification and registration on the HCA Directory are required.
- Safety and reliability: A clean police check with a vulnerable sector screening (within 90 days), a valid Alberta Driver’s License, and ownership of a reliable vehicle with commercial insurance are mandatory.
- Physical well-being: Excellent health is a must for this role.
- Life-saving skills: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Availability: Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts, with night shift availability being an asset.

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 - 40 per week
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday

- On call
