**Orthodontic Assistant**

We are looking for a passionate and energetic full time Orthodontic Assistant to join our well-established practice in North Vancouver. Westview Orthodontics - Dr Tom Moonen & Dr Lenore Louie have been providing exceptional Orthodontic Treatment on the North Shore for the past 25 years. Our goals include continually strengthening the patient-doctor relationship, fostering an inclusive culture, and fully supporting our team members.

**About the role**:
The Orthodontic Assistant plays a critical role within our practice. You will be responsible for the delivery of direct patient care working independently as well as assisting the Orthodontist. This includes the direct bonding of fixed orthodontic appliances, attachment placement and delivery of orthodontic aligners, the adjustment of removable appliances, record taking, treatment documentation, sterilization procedures, patient education, and other miscellaneous and administrative duties.

**What you bring - qualifications**:

- Certified Dental Assistant and licensed with CDSBC,completion of orthodontics module
- 1+ years’ experience as a Dental Assistant; experience in an orthodontic office preferred but not required
- Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills, verbal and written, with a proven ability to build strong relationships to build positive rapport with patients, parents, doctors, fellow team members and community
- Strong conflict resolution, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Keen attention-to-detail and time management
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; proficiency with dental software systems is an asset to complete tasks such as data entry, patient tracking and imaging
