**Some of what you will do**:
As the Analyst, Accounting, you will perform month end closing activities such as analyses, journal entries and generation of reports. You will play a vital role in investigating and resolving issues that arise from store transactions. Each day will be fast-paced, challenging, rewarding and meaningful and you will be inspired to bring your best, every day.
**Specifically, you will**:
- Perform month end closing activities such as analyses, journal entries and generation of reports
- Prepare account reconciliations and resolve issues and unreconciled differences
- Work closely with the business, including the stores, to resolve issues in their respective P&L
- Investigate and resolve issues that arise from store transactions
- Prepare standardized and ad hoc reports for management and the business, including stores
- Support and liaise with the external auditors in their execution of the audits
- Evaluate the existing month-end, quarter-end and year-end processes and propose improvements that result in a more efficient and effective close process
**Some of what you need**:
- 2 years of finance or related experience is required
- University degree or equivalent in accounting, business, finance or a related field
- CPA designation or working towards a designation
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting
- Strong knowledge and understanding of financial systems. Experience with Oracle is an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and projects.
