**️Paladin Security is Hiring a Healthcare Security Officer**:
**Location**: Sutherland Harris Memorial Hospital
**Compensation**: $20.50/hour
**Employment Type**: Full-Time & Casual Shifts Available
**Shifts**: 0700-1900 / 1900-0700 (Rotating)

**What You'll Do**:

- Conduct proactive patrols of hospital grounds, entrances, and key facilities
- Monitor security cameras and alarm systems
- Control access to sensitive or restricted areas
- Respond to emergencies and support hospital staff in high-pressure situations
- Deliver professional, courteous service to patients, visitors, and healthcare teams
- Write clear, timely incident and activity reports
- Enforce hospital policies with calm authority and respect
- Partner with law enforcement and hospital staff for coordinated safety responses

**Requirements**:
**What You Bring**:

- Must be 19+ and legally eligible to work in Canada
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Eligible for Nova Scotia Security License (Paladin will assist)
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
- Certifications in UoF (Use of Force) and MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior) preferred — free Paladin training available with a 6-month employment commitment
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Experience in security, law enforcement, or healthcare settings is a strong asset
- Must be a current New Glasgow, NS resident
