Lonsdale Creek Daycare Centre Society is a well-established North Vancouver-based daycare, operating five quality care programs in three locations for infants, toddlers, and 3 - 5 year old’ s for over 48 years, since 1974. We are currently recruiting for a full time _**ECE Head Supervisor **_. You will lead children in activities to stimulate and develop their intellectual, physical, and emotional growth and ensure their security and well-being. To accomplish this, you will:
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with parents and co-workers. Oversee and lead team of ECE professionals. Communicate with Director and Human Resources
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, safety and well-being of children
- Lead activities by telling or reading stories, providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity
- Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
- Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits to promote self help skills
- Communicate effectively internally with Head Supervisor, Director, HR and peers, and withhold established policies and procedures
- Participate in programming, monthly learning themes, children's progress reports, parent meetings (when possible), mentor practicum students, volunteers, and observers.
- Attend staff/mini meetings and work parties.

- Completion of a two
- to four-year college program in early childhood education or a bachelor's degree in child development
- You must have a Current ECE License to Practice
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification
