Under the direction of the Manager of Nutrition Services, the Food Service Supervisor 2 will assume responsibilities for nutrition service workers related to the preparation, serving and delivery of meals.

**Duties will include**:

- plan the delivery of food to ensure safe, nutritious and adequate requirements are met while adhering to safe and sanitary procedures;
- supervise and provide support to all nutrition service workers and establish work procedures;
- recruit, train and evaluate service workers;
- trains dietetic interns;
- provide direction and guidance to staff re collective agreements;
- participate in menu planning meetings;
- participate in departmental quality improvement activities;
- schedule and participate in staff orientation and in-service education;
- attend meetings, workshops and conferences;
- organize and facilitate meetings for service workers;
- assist with departmental projects;
- other related duties.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Applicants must have successfully completed grade 12 and a Food Service Supervisor's course from an accredited institution OR have a Bachelor of Science with major course work in a nutrition related field.
- The successful applicant must have a good previous work and attendance record.

**Other Qualifications**:

- An understanding of special diets and various software programs, i.e., data base, spreadsheets and word processing would be considered assets.
- Additional relevant education and experience would be considered an asset.

**Salary Range**: $29.24 - $34.86 per hour
**Bi-Weekly Hours**:30 Hours Bi-Weekly / 5:30am-1:30pm, 10:30am-6:30pm / Every Second Weekend
