About the Position
We’re looking for someone who loves working with hardware to join our ever-growing support team, and work-in our Dedicated Service Centre.
Together the team supports thousands of users and almost every mainstream technology or device available today.
As a Service Depot Technician you will work hands-on to setup new hardware, and repair/recycle devices at the end of their life. You will be assisting with the day to day functions of the Service Centre.
When you are not in the Service Centre some onsite Field work may be required such as computer deployments, installing switches and WAPS, or assisting our project team.
This position is best suited for someone with hands on computer and infrastructure hardware knowledge and previous MSP experience.
**Responsibilities**:
- Setting up new computers (desktops/laptops/servers etc)
- Installing computer components (RAM, Hard Drives etc)
- Preparing computers for recycling (removing drives and coordinating recycling pickups)
- Imaging computers
- Building/updating client images
- Logistics of installation/repairs (w/ client, couriers, and Field support)
- Managing vendor warranty service
- Managing vendor returns
- Maintaining a highly organized / clean service depot
- Managing parts inventory
- Shipping and Receiving
- Provide impeccable customer service
- Ensure timely, precise, evidence-based documentation of all activities
- Verify and update all documentation pertaining to each ticket you work
- Follow standardized procedures and create new procedures when required
- Some travel to client’s offices may be required
- Coverage for Senior Service centre tech
- Computer repairs and diagnostics
**Requirements**:
- Fluent, clear spoken English
- Excellent written English (to create clear, concise, client-facing communications)
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and triage your queue of existing and new cases as they come in
- Attention to detail is a MUST
- Resourcefulness to find answers and solve problems
- Experience with the following an asset
- Building and repairing PC hardware
- Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems
- Apple OSX
- Apple iOS
- Android OS
- Data recovery tools
- A+ Certification
- Improve your skills by passing one or more certifications each year
- Clear Criminal Record
**Salary**: $36,000.00-$46,000.00 per year
