The Consultant II is responsible for delivery and support of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions to enable data-based decision making. Reporting to Manager, Operational Reporting, you will develop a strong relationship with stakeholders within our Claims team by leveraging a strong understanding of claims processes and data to support our team’s day-to-day needs and requests. **Accountabilities**: **Reporting Ownership and Maintenance** - Manage and refresh existing reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery while addressing stakeholder inquiries. - Collaborate with data analysts to implement updates, socialize new reports, and incorporate stakeholder feedback. - Identify opportunities to consolidate, automate, and standardize reporting processes. **Stakeholder Reporting Support** - Support the analyst team with dashboard and report generation while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships to identify reporting needs and enhancements. - Develop and refine Key Performance Indicators to align with stakeholder objectives and highlight trends or outliers to aid decision-making. **Data and Process Improvement** - Identify and document gaps between Claims processes, available data, and existing documentation to share with the team. - Ensure data accuracy by regularly reviewing reports, comparing with front-end systems, and collaborating with stakeholders. - Analyze data sets to uncover improvement opportunities and address ad hoc analysis needs, working with data analysts to develop dashboards for recurring requests. **Qualifications**: - Post-Secondary**Education or equivalent working experience - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills - Exceptionally organized, with attention to detail - Strong communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills - Demonstrates working proficiency in extracting and interpreting data - Capability to translate stakeholders' requirements into reporting deliverables - ** Technical Skills** - Extensive experience with Microsoft Suite with an emphasis on Excel and O365 - Experience in the insurance industry, especially with Casualty claims data **Nice to Have**: - Experience with running reports in SAS and SQL - Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI - Experience with VBA Macros, Power Query, Tableau Prep Allstate Canada Group has policies and practices that provide workplace accommodations.
