**ABOUT WATER and ICE Co.**

Water and Ice Co. is a fast-growing bottled water and bagged ice manufacturer based out of Leduc, AB. We run a local store front while delivering water and ice to Leduc, Edmonton, and surrounding areas.

**Position Overview**

The Shop Assistant contributes to all functional areas of Water and Ice Co.’s retail store to support daily operation. This entails a roughly equal split between Production and Retail Clerk responsibilities. Reporting directly to the store manager, the Retail and Shop Assistant will provide whatever support is needed for the daily functioning of the store and will eventually be able to run the store solo to accommodate the Saturday schedule.

**General Responsibilities**
- Opening and closing the retail store including arming/disarming security system, filling or emptying cash drawers, daily cash and card balancing, ect.
- Running or retail store including on your own and keeping up with the fast pace required to serve customers and restock shelves
- Cleaning and care of premises such as vacuuming, sweeping, and general tidying
- Taking customer calls and arranging for the fulfillment of delivery orders
- Assuming primary responsibility for production of water bottles and restocking store shelves
- Inventory tracking of delivered and received items and completing inputs into Lightspeed POS system or Quickbooks accounting software
- Some administrative and organizational responsibilities
- Loading and unloading of product from vehicles as needed
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**
- Schedule flexibility and willingness to work Tuesday to Saturday shift
- Willingness to work overtime if needed (ie. covering sick/vacation days for other staff or assisting last few customers past closing)
- Ability to lift 44 pounds repeatedly
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suit an asset
- Responsiveness and ability to problem-solve
- Professional attitude and strong communication skills
- Familiarity with Quick Books software an asset
- Familiarity with Lightspeed an asset
- Familiarity with Route Star software an asset
- Prior forklift/palletizer experience an asset
- Familiarity with inventory tracking an asset
