**Job Summary**

The job of the Lunch Supervisor is to maintain a clean and organized centre. They will prepare morning and afternoon snacks, prep hot lunches received by the caterer, and follow a cleaning/disinfecting schedule. The Lunch Supervisor may also be asked to carry out duties similar to the duties of an Assist Early Childhood Educator in the classroom as needed. This position reports to the Site Supervisor.

**Qualification & Experience**

Food preparation diploma/Food handler course or equivalent is required

Current First Aid and CPR Certificate

**Supervision**
- Knowledge of ratios
- Helps Educators supervise children as needed
- Adequate regard for children safety, hygiene, and confidentiality

**Kitchen Duties**
- Warm and serve cooked meals
- Prepare snacks for the morning and afternoon
- Set tables, clear dishes, wash dishes, after each meal/snack
- Knowledgeable of the Canada Food Guide
- Maintain a peanut free environment
- Know all allergies of the children attending Maple Tree Preschool Non Profit. The Lunch Supervisor must ensure that all allergies are posted as per regulation and ensure that all food being served is free of said substance
- Be aware of coast and contribute positively to the bottom line cost of Maple Tree Preschool Non Profit

**House Keeping**
- Housekeeping duties are completed daily: sweep floors, wash dishes, clean counters, clean sinks, collect and clear garbage, clean fridge, clean microwave, clean washroom, and clean cloakroom.
- Ensure a hygienic environment by carrying out disinfecting practices. Toys, cots, and equipment will be cleaned weekly by following a schedule.
- Remove sheets and items for laundry

**Job Type / Category**

This job is in a daycare setting and you will be required to work with children on occasion

**Required Education, Skills and Qualifications**

Food Handlers Certificate

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
