Footprints Security is a 100% locally owned and operated security, guest services and safety ambassador provider, proudly serving Duncan, Nanaimo, Parksville, Qualicum, Port Alberni in Central Island since 1980. Footprints Security’s Central Island Region is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Manager, Mobile Patrol to join our Nanaimo team. Reporting to the VP of Operations/COO and will work closely with our clients and employees to ensure excellence in client service with the Central Island region.

**General Duties and Responsibilities**

- Oversee and be accountable for the effectiveness of the Mobile Patrol Division - Central Island, ensuring excellence in client service in every interaction with staff and clients
- Plan and execute effective route management for mobile patrol services in multiple communities across Vancouver Island
- Manage our vehicle fleet across Vancouver Island
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with our mobile patrol division staff and Regional Director of Operations
- Support Mobile Patrol Supervisors by in-field training and mentoring
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships;
- Participate in business development activities;
- Provide direct supervision, guidance, and support of regional employees including assisting with recruitment, conducting training, providing corrective and disciplinary support, and ensuring adherence to company policy;
- Provide proactive client care, ensuring all issues are resolved in a timely manner;
- Monitor all operational and incident reports and take appropriate action;
- Ensure that all regional personnel understand site orders and are fulfilling client obligations
- Fill in for our Regional Manager - Scheduling and Deployment - Central Island as required
- Supervise and guide regional Mobile Patrol Supervisors
- Implement and utilize new technologies across the regional fleet / patrol divisions
- Ensure safety guidelines are followed, investigate safety issues with priority;
- Proactively manage team members with a focus on employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention, manage performance of direct reports;
- Work effectively with other departments, demonstrating strong administrative skills;
- Maintains a solid understanding of employment standards and pay practices, policies, and procedures;

**Position Requirements**

- Valid BC Security Worker's Licence
- Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or equivalent;
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a manager in an operational environment; supervisory or management experience in the security industry an asset;
- Possess sound judgement and decision-making skills, with a ‘hands on’ approach to problem solving; strong conflict resolution skills required;
- Remains calm under pressure and takes control of incidents;
- Must have strong leadership, social interaction, and organizational skills; proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships;
- A commitment to continuous learning;
- Strong ability to implement and drive changes;
- Possess strong knowledge of security procedures, scheduling, and managing people within a security services environment;
- Fluent in Trak Tik

- Must work well under strict timelines and possess the ability to manage multiple simultaneous priorities;
- Fluent in English;
- Mastery of MS Office
