Maintenance Worker

**Job Summary**

This position will include maintenance, painting and repairs to the building, maintenance of the facility grounds including grass cutting and snow removal, assisting with the implementation of a facility wide maintenance program and assisting in implementing the fire plan and other emergency procedures. The Maintenance worker will work with and assist the Maintenance Lead Hand in the performance of duties as required and carry out these duties in his/her absence. Will assist housekeeping staff with regular scheduled heavy cleaning and will be responsible for storage and delivery of supplies to all departments.
**JOB QUALIFICATIONS**:
- General knowledge and/or practical experience in general carpentry, plumbing, painting, plastering, electrical, pneumatic and electric controls and equipment maintenance. Experience in other trades would be an asset.
- Two years related experience in facility maintenance. Maintenance in a health care facility would be an asset.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license
- Ability to work independently
- Mental and physical ability to meet the demands of the job required
- Satisfactory employment record required.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $21.09-$24.45 per hour
Expected hours: 38.75 per week
