**Job Overview**
The System Operator is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the day to day operations for the Temenos
Banking System which includes all nightly processes for Close of Business (COB's), backups, monitoring processes,
stopping and stopping services/processes, and initial investigation and reporting of issues.
**Role**
Diligently and accurately run nightly COBs and backups on banking system environment
Monitor the banking system processes
Proactively communicate and initiate any processes specific to Temenos services, such as jBase Agents and
Webserver
Update and performance tune within a documented scope of authority
Effectively communicate and report on banking system processes, performance and issues
Escalate incidents or issues to the System Administrator for further analysis and investigation
Participate as required in the release process to test systems and/or production
Be flexible with you work arrangement including being available evenings and weekends, on-call and shift
rotations as the job demands
Stay ahead of current industry trends, new technologies and services that impact member and employee
experience

**Required Skills**:
Possess a post-secondary diploma or degree in computer science or equivalent in a related program_ _
Have at least two (2) years of experience in an IT support role or similar function_ _
Be an expert user of MS Office_ _
Be an analytical thinker who through having a keen sense for detail can estimate the scope of IT initiatives
Enjoy a challenge when it comes to technical issues and be resourceful in the way you find a solution_ _
Be quick to respond to requests for service from all of your clients in a manner which is clearly understood,
