**What will you bring?**

  • Mechanical aptitude and good physical fitness
  • Knowledge of Valves (desired) but willing to train the right individual.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to write reports, communicating effectively with staff and management.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and acceptable Driver’s Abstract
  • Previous warehouse and customer service experience (definite asset)
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment testing (Drug, alcohol)

**What will you do?**

  • Service and repair field valves in house (Repair, Test, Calibrate)
  • Focus on and demonstrate safe work practices.
  • Tear down and evaluating used valves; including re-assembly and testing.
  • Prepare records and paperwork for service orders, repair estimation and quotations.
  • Troubleshoot valve issues and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of spare parts.
  • Perform Medium to heavy lifting (35 - 50lbs)
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures to ensure the safe work environment of themselves, fellow employees, customers, vendors and other DNOW partners.
  • Perform factory-level testing (FAT) of automation and instrumentation equipment / assemblies.
  • Read and understand fluid power schematics and electrical drawings as relates to valve automation and instrumentation.
  • Ensures the quality of products and services the customer receives meets or exceeds their requirements.
  • Ensures materials, supplies, and equipment are accounted for, using inventory procedures.
  • Identify conditions that could lead to equipment failure; report major breakdowns to supervisor.
  • Overtime may be required.
  • Traveling to other sites may occur during the week.
  • Perform other duties as required.
