As an early-stage contract research organization (CRO), our work supports Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) programs to assist in the discovery and development process of new drug therapies. **Job Summary** We are actively seeking an **Evening Shift Labourer (Cage Washer)** to join our team as we continue our work while maintaining the highest standard of animal welfare in mind. You will be part of the team that ensures strict sanitation standards amongst a variety of laboratory equipment, animal enclosures, and animal enrichment items to maintain laboratory standards. Handling of washing equipment and maneuvering items to designated cleaning areas are performed routinely. You will play a key role in guaranteeing animal safety by providing a clean and health environment **General Responsibilities** - Operate, maintain and validate industrial washing machines, "Car Wash" type, to clean, disinfect and handle cages; - Perform daily and monthly checks of the cage wash systems; - Must be ready and able to also clean manually when necessary; - Keeps meticulous records by reading and understanding laboratory SOPs and following GLP requirements. **Requirements**: - High school diploma or equivalent; - No experience required; training will be provided - Must be available to work full time: 37.5 hours/week. - Required during the first 2 weeks of employment to complete training during regular company hours (8:30AM-4:45PM) - Ability to reliably commute to location during evening hours after training period, punctuality is a must. - Must have good attention to detail, multitasking abilities, a high sense of responsibility and a positive attitude - Good communication skills in either French or English; - Must be able to push, pull, carry weight up-to/around 20kg (44 lbs). **ITR Laboratories Offers You** - Competitive Salary. - Additional pay premiums starting available - _ Overtime paid at time and a half after 37.5 hours._ - Job stability (permanency). - Permanent full-time job, 37.5 hours / week, **Monday-Friday, 3 PM- 11 PM**; - Company issued uniform and safety equipment (PPE). - ITR Day - paid. - After 6 months of employment, 5 paid sick days. - Group benefit coverage (health insurance plan and group RRSP). - Dental insurance - Visual insurance - Life insurance - Additional health coverage - RRSP with employer contribution - Employee Assistance Program (**EAP**) providing immediate and confidential help with any work, health, or life concern 24/7 by phone or web. - Employee Referral Bonus (**ERB**) program. - A stimulating and friendly work environment. - Free parking on location. - Company events.
