**Job Title: Indian Cuisine Chef**
**Location: Robie St, Truro NS**
**Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time**
**Requirements: Must be within commuting distance of Truro or willing to relocate**
**Job Summary**
**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare a wide variety of Indian dishes according to recipes and menu.
- Develop and innovate new menu items or seasonal specials while maintaining authenticity.
- Manage kitchen prep including cutting, marinating, and spice blends to ensure freshness and consistency.
- Operate tandoor, stoves, ovens, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor ingredient stock levels and coordinate orders as needed.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen and prep areas.
- Comply with all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely preparation and smooth service.
**Qualifications & Skills**
- Proven experience as an Indian Cuisine Chef, Cook, or in a similar culinary role.
- Strong knowledge of Indian spices, cooking techniques, and regional flavors.
- Experience with tandoor cooking and preparing fresh breads (naan, roti, paratha, etc.) is a strong asset.
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work under pressure in a team-oriented environment.
- Creativity and passion for food presentation and menu innovation.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.20-$18.00 per hour
