**Who we are**:
ElderCare Edmonton Society for Adult Day Programs is a non-profit, community-based organization that provides recreational adult day programs for persons living in the community while accessing Home Care. Our programs are designed to improve the lives of seniors affected by social isolation, reduced cognitive function, and reduced mobility. We are dedicated to ensuring that seniors and their caregivers are supported in our communities and within Alberta’s healthcare system.

**Who we’re looking for**:
**Position Description**:
Reporting to the Program Manager, casual program facilitators are responsible for operating our recreational day programs, including:

- Assist in the planning and implementation of recreation programs that include physical, emotional, cognitive, and social programs. (We have fun through crafts, games, and physical activities... If you’ve never seen a group of seniors play with nerf guns, you’re missing out)
- Provide assistance to clients with meal service and limited personal care.
- Daily cleaning tasks as required.
- Daily reporting tasks as required.
- Clear Police Information Check and Intervention Record Check.
- Ability to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time to provide program support.
- Current standard First Aid/ Level C CPR.
- Diploma as a HCA, Recreation Therapist, or other health professional (preferred).

**Start Date**: Ongoing

**Program locations**: We operate at three Edmonton locations, including the Fulton Place School (10310 56 St), Westend Seniors Activity Centre (9629 176 St), and Central Lions Recreation Centre (11113 113 St).

**Hours**: Our programs operate Monday through Friday, and shifts are 8:30-4:00 (Fulton & Central sites), 9-4:30 (Westend), and 9-3/9:30-2:30 (all sites). Casual/part-time staff are offered shifts to cover vacation or sick days for permanent/full-time staff, with the possibility of moving into a permanent shift. For casual employees, there is some flexibility with start/finish times - please let us know your availability.

**Compensation**: $19.50-$24/hour, commensurate with education and experience

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $19.50-$22.50 per hour
