Do you have a knack for fixing things? Are you someone who thrives on making sure everything around you is in the best possible condition? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you at the **Ramada by Wyndham Edmonton South**. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled part-time **Maintenance Technician** to join our team.
In this role, you will report to our seasoned Maintenance Supervisor, who will provide mentorship and guidance to ensure you feel confident and capable in your role. The **Maintenance Technician** position is ideal for a reliable, hands-on professional with a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of pride in their work.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Uphold current and future standards of Ramada by Wyndham by maintaining all indoor and outdoor facilities in clean, orderly, and functional condition.
- Provide responsive service to guest requests for room maintenance.
- Regularly inspect hotel property including guestrooms, common areas, maintenance rooms. and landscapes.
- Perform light cleaning duties, such as vacuuming and washing windows, as well as heavy cleaning like removing snow and debris from outside areas.
- Execute minor repairs on a variety of fixtures, fittings, and equipment.
- Maintain heating, cooling, and alarm systems in working order.
- Set up and tear down rooms for events and meetings.
- Operate a range of hand and power tools effectively and safely.
- Complete tasks assigned by your Supervisor or Manager.
**Working Conditions**:
- Must work every weekend in relief of Maintenance Supervisor, plus one weekday shift.
- Be comfortable working in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments.
- Enjoy interacting with a diverse range of colleagues and guests.
- Be able to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
