Shipper/receiver

**General Purpose**

A receiving clerk is responsible for accepting, checking and processing deliveries that arrive at the store. This job will have busier times during the beginning of a new season
- After training and probhation period the hours and times will be very flexable - and you will be able to make your own schedule depending on the workload. estimated to be around 15-30 hours per week - with the option to learn more and take on more tasks.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- direct delivery drivers to the the correct unloading station
- receive and sign for deliveries
- check deliveries against orders, invoices, manifests and other documents to verify correctness
- record and report overages, shortages and discrepancies
- inspect the condition and quality of delivered items
- record and reject damaged items
- process returns of damaged items
- prepare and keep records of good received
- complete daily receiving entries into computer system
- sort inventory and bin excess inventory
- assure proper storage conditions
- correctly route items to relevant departments and process inter-company transfers to other locations
- organize stock and maintain inventory
- conduct regular cycle counts
- comply with standard safety and operating procedures

**Education and Experience**
- High school diploma
- data entry skills
- knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures including Warehouse Management Systems
- proficient with electronic scanning equipment

**Physical Requirements**

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 15-30 per week

**Salary**: $18.00 per hour
