Cleaner (Part-time)

**Overview**

**1. Daily Duties**
- **a. General Maintenance**_
- Ensure the cleanliness of the building.
- Clean lobby including glass doors and mop floor.
- Clean the elevators.
- Recycling pickup in all floors.
- Clean washroom and kitchen on the 8th floor
- Check and clean party room.
- Clean lobby in P1 and P2 level.
- Litter pick
- up in parking garage and visitor parking area.
- Check and replace hand sanitizer.
- **b. Mechanical**_
- Check equipment in Boiler room, (to ensure there are no issues with pumps and motors).
- Check the hot water storage tank and associated equipment for water leak.
- Check the generator room for leaks.
- Check the MUA unit on the roof top (heating and cooling in hallways).
- Check sump pumps.
- Check Drip Drums (in winter).
- Replace the burnt light bulbs including exit signs.
- **c. Fire Equipment**_
- Check emergency panel and reporting any malfunctions.
- Check Fire equipment and fill the daily forms.
- Check the compressor.

**2. Weekly Duties**
- **a. Cleaning**_
- Vacuum carpet.
- Clean the baseboards.
- Clean the garbage bins after garbage pick
- up.
- Check and cleaning the meeting/party room as required.
- Clean all lobby glass.
- Litter pick
- all around the building.
- Check locker rooms.
- **b. Mechanical**_
- Check exhaust fans.
- Check all carpets for stains and tears.
- Ensure front doors and back doors are working properly.
- Check doors, stairwell and garbage chutes.
- Check all hallway and stairwell vents.
- **c. Fire Equipment**_
- Check the pressure in fire hose cabinets on top floor.
- Check the fire equipment and fill the weekly forms.

**3. Monthly Duties**
- **a. Cleaning**_
- Check and clean the mechanical rooms, fire pump room and generator room.
- Check and clean locker rooms.
- Check stair well vents.
- Clean the fire hose cabinets.
- **b. Mechanical**_
- Check generator and dampers.
- Check MUA.
- Check boilers and pumps.
- Cooling Tower
- **c. Fire equipment**_
- Check the fire equipment and fill the monthly forms.

**4. Other Duties as required**
- Recycling and Special Pick up on Monday (Clean and wash the bins and the room).
- Garbage on Tuesday and Friday (Clean and wash the bins and the room)
- Organics on Tuesday (Clean and wash the bins and the room).
- Schedule the elevator booking for moving In/Out and Deliveries. Installing and removing elevator pads.
- Schedule booking the Party Room.
- Clean mechanical room and equipment.
- Ensure flower pots are maintained.
- Watering flowers in front of the building.
- Monitor use of lockers. Verify contents and notify Management of any irregularities.
- Adjust the timer of outside lights (twice a year).
- Turn off the water in the roof before freezing season.
- Clear snow in front of the entrance and the garbage area & supply salt as required.
- Set up lobby carpet before the winter season and remove them in spring. (Wash and store them properly).
- Assist the contractors when are on site.
- Generally, keep the Property Manger informed of any unusual events/incidents that take place in or around the property.
- Familiarize with the locations of the main shut off valves of heating and cooling system, domestic hot and cold-water risers and the main electrical breakers.
- Be available for emergency situations.
- Must be aware of policies and rules of the corporation.
- Maintain and improve the operation of the building and to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in condominium cleaning is preferred
- Ability to manage time effectively to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Strong attention to detail to ensure all areas are clean and sanitized
- Good communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Knowledge of using power tools and hand tools for maintenance tasks is a plus
- Capability to perform custodial duties including heavy lifting when necessary

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 27.5 per week
