**Millson Technologies is an innovative residential technology company located in Vancouver that has been delivering world class technology solutions for luxury residential projects for over 30 years.**

This is a 1-year contract position starting no earlier than January 1, 2025 with the possibility of permanent employment.

**Responsibilities**:
The roles and responsibilities for the CAD Technician position will include:

- Preparing design and construction drawings (floor plans, elevations, and detail drawings) as directed by the Documentation Manager.
- Drawing sketches, details, and digital 3D models.
- Providing supporting documentation for all design aspects of various residential projects.
- Assisting other departments with ongoing documentation related tasks.
- Generating comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOM) and assembly instructions for products.
- Contribute to product testing and design verification processes.
- Creating detailed technical product documentation to ensure accurate and thorough records.
- Working with and editing various graphics file formats.
- Generating SketchUp product presentation assets.
- Preparing tables and spreadsheets.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Have completed a drafting/technology diploma.
- Have 5-7 years of AutoCAD (2023 or newer) experience with a solid understanding of paperspace/modelspace, dynamic blocks, layer control, sheet sets, plot settings, and external references.
- Have 1-3 years of Revit experience.
- Have 3-5 years of SketchUp experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is mandatory.
- Can read and interpret Architectural, Interior Design, and Electrical drawings. Previous experience in construction detailing, millwork detailing or mechanical detailing is an asset.
- Possess a strong understanding of design/construction terminology and be familiar with the construction industry.
- Have a basic understanding of graphics file formats. Working knowledge/experience of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, IronCAD and/or Solidworks would be a definite asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess strong organizational skills, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments.
- Be a self motivated collaborative team player with a willingness to learn and develop in a high paced environment.
- Self-motivated attitude with an ability to take initiative.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
