This position will provide culturally responsive services to diverse youth and their families in Ottawa. We are hiring a mental health clinician to provide evidence-based and culturally responsive community-based mental health services to Black and racialized youth and their families. Mental health clinician will work collaboratively with outreach staff to provide a holistic and systemic approach to address the intersectionality of youth and their families facing social inequities and systemic barriers.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provides direct clinical services such as intake, assessment, counselling, treatment, and crisis intervention;consultation/liaison with community agencies, schools, hospitals, and other programs.
- Provide comprehensive assessment and treatment planning and conducts individual, group and family therapy.
- Maintains appropriate clinical/client/administrative records.
- Promotes and maintains effective working relationships with clients and families, physicians, schools, and hospitals tocoordinate services, secure input, cooperation
- Support conflict mediation, influence outcomes, provide community consultation and provide educational services and training on trauma and emotional regulation.
- Understands and integrates knowledge of intergenerational trauma, structural/systemic racism, emerging societal needs, and influences related to racial equity and anti-racism into their work.

- Professional registration to a regulated college, such as College of Social Workers, and College of Registered Psychotherapists (CRPO)
- Lived experiences and connection to Black and racialized communities.
- Relevant experience working with children, youth, and their families.
- Ability to establish rapport with children, youth, and families in crisis.
- Experience working with diverse communities.
- Knowledge of abolitionist theories and alternatives to carceral approaches and works from an anti-oppressive approach.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and ability to be flexible and prioritize dutiesin a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate with other partners in the school, family, and community settings.
- Fluency in English is required, proficiency in additional languages will be an asset.

Pay: $68,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
