**Overview**
Z’gamok Construction LP (ZCLP), a subsidiary of Z’gamok Enterprises Inc., an Indigenous business fully owned by Sagamok Anishnawbek, provides a diverse range of services across multiple business segments, including construction, haulage, underground mining services, and commercial janitorial.
Z’gamok Construction LP (ZCLP) is recruiting a self-motivated, detail orientated individual with a proven record of safety and reliability to fill the position of Quality Control Manager.
The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance and material testing for the aggregates division. This position plays a key role in ensuring ZCLP’s products and services meet and exceed quality requirements. Travel to various job sites and locations will be required.
**Responsibilities**
- Supervise staff and oversee product development procedures to ensure products meet quality and efficiency standards
- Develop quality testing protocols, lead in-house testing and conduct material audits
- Analyze the final output, comparing it to the requirements, and approving or rejecting the final products; provide feedback to production team
- Devise ways to improve processes to ensure higher-quality goods
- Ensure detailed execution of all work to produce high-quality materials.
- Collaborate with estimating teams to review technical specifications.
- Effectively communicate with field staff and report internally on quality and production activities.
- Create, improve, and review new specifications and procedures for products or processes, and train staff to use them.
- Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis.
- Liaise with inspectors, enforcement officers, and senior management.
- Support production and field teams in improving cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure legal obligations are followed and ensure compliance with regulatory bodies along with health and safety guidelines.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- 2-3 years experience in MTO materials testing, including a variey of aggregates.
- Diploma or degree in a related technical field considered an asset.
- In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standards.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics, data analysis, and statistical methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good technical and IT skills.
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work in fast paced environment.
- Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of team.
- Valid G driver's license required.
