**Job Summary**:
A Budtender is a key team member in a cannabis retail store responsible for providing exceptional customer service and guidance to clients seeking cannabis products. They are knowledgeable about various cannabis strains, products, and their effects, ensuring that customers have a safe and satisfying experience. This role involves maintaining a clean and organized store, handling cash transactions, and complying with all relevant laws and regulations.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
1. **Customer Service**: Provide friendly, informed, and personalized assistance to customers, ensuring their needs and preferences are met.

2. **Product Knowledge**: Stay updated on the store's inventory, including various strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories, and educate customers on their differences, benefits, and potential effects.

3. **Recommendation**: Offer product recommendations based on customer preferences, medical needs, and desired effects, ensuring responsible and informed choices.

4. **Compliance**: Adhere to all state and local laws and regulations regarding the sale of cannabis products, including age verification and restricted sales.

5. **Cash Handling**: Accurately process cash and electronic payments, maintaining proper cash-handling procedures.

6. **Inventory Management**: Assist in maintaining inventory levels and organizing products on shelves, ensuring accurate labeling and pricing.

7. **Store Cleanliness**: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including product displays and customer areas.

8. **Security**: Comply with all security protocols, including surveillance systems, ID verification, and reporting any unusual activities or issues.

9. **Safety**: Promote and enforce safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.

10. **Education**: Stay informed about emerging cannabis products, industry trends, and best practices through training and self-study.

11. **Communication**: Effectively communicate with team members and management regarding customer feedback, inventory needs, and operational issues.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age (as required by local regulations) to work in a cannabis dispensary.
- Knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and their effects.
- Strong customer service skills, with an emphasis on active listening and empathy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills for cash handling.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds.
- Physical dexterity for handling and showcasing products.
- Police clearance must and self safe certificate required and QCW beneficiary.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $15.00-$17.85 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Calgary, AB T3J 0Z7 (required)

Ability to Relocate:
