We are looking for an **Order Picker** for a client located in **Toronto**. They in Eyewear distribution all over Canada.

**Overview**:
This position primarily involves picking eyewear lenses from the warehouse shelving units. The job involves moving between the isles with a pushcart and handheld baskets, loading the required lenses in the baskets onto the pushcart or hand holding the baskets for single orders. The picker then moves the lenses to the checking area prior to billing the order.

**Responsibilities**:

- Pick up orders from the printer from a designated area and prepare for picking.
- Sorting and checking orders for special instructions and putting in basket.
- Proceeding to the bin/row location and pick products as per order.
- Taking order to the billing table for checking and invoicing once order has been filled.
- Performing housekeeping duties as required (floor sweeping the work area, picking up empty boxes...)
- Assisting in barcoding of lens packaging
- Putting away and/or rotating stock
- Performing any other duties within the Lab as requested by the supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- There is considerable standing and walking for prolonged periods on concrete floors in this job function.
- Repetitive movements of arms and shoulders is required while picking from shelves
- Ensuring that the picker is accurate in picking the right lenses
- Deadlines for courier pickups (mid-day and late afternoon) may dictate accelerated pace of work

**Location**:Toronto, ON

**Timings**:9:00am to 5:30pm
**Pay Rate**: $17/hr.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- warehouse: 1 year (required)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (required)
