**Responsibilities**:
**Drafting and Designing**:

- Utilize CAD software to create detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics based on specifications provided by engineers or designers.

**Interpreting Specifications**:

- Interpret and understand technical specifications, sketches, and rough drafts to produce accurate and detailed drawings.

**Collaboration**:

- Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, designers, and other team members to ensure drawings meet project requirements and adhere to industry standards and regulations, and effectively communicate design intent.

**Modifications and Revisions**:

- Review, modify, and revise drawings as necessary based on feedback, changes in specifications, or project requirements to ensure accuracy and completeness.

**Documentation**:

- Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation to track progress and facilitate communication among team members.

**Quality Assurance**:

- Conduct thorough reviews of drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to design standards, identify and resolve any errors or discrepancies.

**Technical Support**:

- Provide technical support and assistance to engineers, project managers, and other team members as needed, including creating documentation and assisting with troubleshooting.

**Qualifications**:

- A post-secondary education or equivalent certification in mechanical drafting, mechanical engineering or a related field
- A minimum of 3 years of previous experience in mechanical drafter or a similar role, demonstrating proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar programs
- Strong technical drawing skills, including a solid understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), drafting standards, symbols, and conventions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and convey technical information clearly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to resolve issues and address challenges in drafting projects.
- Exceptional attention to details and produce high-quality work with mínimal errors.
- Effective organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative and cooperative attitude, with a willingness to work as part of team to achieve project goals and objectives.
