**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the Child and Family Services (CFS) Director, the Intervention Supervisor will oversee foster care, intake and assessment, and assist staff with case planning, management of agreements, court work, and permanency planning. The Intervention Supervisor is responsible for the delivery of services in accordance with the Child and Youth Family Enhancement Act.

This individual will have a passion and commitment to children's services. This role requires an individual with well-developed interpersonal and supervisory skills, time management and good organizational skills, strong character and the ability to work with children, adolescents and their families.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Deliver leadership, training, support, and direction to casework staff to deliver quality services under the Child, Youth, and Family Enhancement Act.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of casework staff.
- Manage or assist with caseloads as required.
- Work with other various government and community agencies.
- Provide regular formal supervision and ongoing case consultation to intervention staff.
- Intake and on-call work as required.
- Review and monitor expenses and budgets.
- Maintain statistics and provide reports on a regular basis.
- Participate in the recruitment, orientation, and training of new employees.
- Participate in ongoing program development.
- Must be able to assume the duties of the director when designated.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- A Bachelor of Social Work degree or related field is required. An equivalent of education and experience from a related human services field may be considered.
- Minimum five (5) years experience working in child intervention.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience, in a supervisory capacity in child intervention.
- Currently delegated or the ability to be delegated in the province of Alberta.
- Registered with the Alberta College of Social Workers or ability to be registered.
- Knowledge and experience using CICIO is considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of the Child and Youth and Family Enhancement Act as well as other regulations as applicable to the protection of children and families.

**Requirements**:

- Clear Intervention Record Check.
- Clear Criminal Record Check or a Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Valid class 5 driver’s license and clean Driver’s Abstract.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
