**Position Overview**

As a Supply Chain Specialist - Import & International Buying, you will lead international procurement, manage import operations, ensure regulatory compliance, supervise team tasks, and leverage business intelligence tools to optimize supply chain performance. This full-time, on-site role involves strategic sourcing, customs management, inventory oversight, supply chain planning, and data-driven reporting.

**Role & Responsibilities**
- **International Procurement**: Develop and implement sourcing strategies to secure high-quality goods, negotiating contracts with global suppliers for cost-effective terms.
- **Import and Customs Management**: Oversee import processes, including tariff classification, duty calculations, and trade regulation compliance.
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure adherence to CBSA, CFIA, and FDA-equivalent standards, managing documentation and supporting audits.
- **Supply Chain Planning**: Collaborate with production and sales to forecast demand and align procurement with inventory needs.
- **Inventory Oversight**: Monitor and manage inventory levels for accuracy and compliance with operational needs.
- **Supplier Coordination**: Build and maintain supplier relationships, conducting evaluations to ensure quality and delivery standards.
- **Risk Management**: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, such as delays or regulatory changes, to ensure continuity.
- **Team Supervision**: Guide and mentor team members, ensuring effective task execution and alignment with supply chain goals.
- **Business Intelligence (BI) Analysis and Reporting**: Utilize BI tools (e.g., Power BI) to analyze procurement/import metrics, generate KPI reports, and drive data-driven decisions.
- **Issue Resolution**: Address challenges like customs delays or compliance issues promptly.
- **Customs Portal Utilization**: Use tools like the CARM portal to support efficient customs and duty management.

**Qualifications**
- **Experience**: 2-3 years in international procurement, import management, or regulatory compliance, preferably in specialty goods or food; supervisory experience is a plus.
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; certifications (e.g., CCS) are a plus.
- **Regulatory Knowledge**: Strong understanding of CBSA, CFIA, and FDA-equivalent regulations, with experience in duties/tariffs.
- **Technical Proficiency**: Skilled in ERP systems and BI tools (e.g., Power BI) for procurement, import tracking, and reporting.
- **Supervisory Skills**: Ability to supervise and mentor team members effectively.
- **Analytical Skills**: Exceptional problem-solving and organizational abilities, focusing on cost efficiency and process improvement.
- **Adaptability**: Ability to manage varying schedules in a dynamic environment.

**Job Type**
