We need you at Pilothouse We are looking for experienced freelancers in Victoria BC who can shoot high-quality product photography and videography on a per-project basis. **Who we are** Pilothouse Digital is a growth partner for e-commerce brands looking to grow their business through digital channels. We manage $10+ million USD in monthly ad spend across a team of 100+ digital marketers. Put simply, _we help companies acquire more customers_. We are a team of marketers and creatives who love working with brands to think of new ways to sell products. We are a full-stack agency that manages media buying (running ads) as well as content creation (content to go in the ads). And we are looking for someone who wants to help elevate our production abilities. **The Opportunity** We are searching for a talented Photographer + Videographer freelance contractor to join our growing creative team for on-call production projects During this contract, you will help us complete projects that will vary from product photography for Amazon listings to video content designed for paid social. Wondering where this will all happen? We have a dedicated studio space smack dab in downtown Victoria that will be at your disposal. If you are a creative freelancer looking for an entrepreneurial position to jump into, this is it. In order to be successful in this position, you will need to be able to collaborate with team members to turn around high-quality content with tight timelines. Do not expect to have someone hold your hand through every project, this role will require a proactive approach. Cross one project off the list? Awesome, share it with your team and move on to the next one. **The nitty gritty** **Responsibilities**: - Collaborate with Studio Production Manager and Studio Production Content Producer to deliver high-quality, ad-ready photo and video assets in a timely manner - Plan; storyboard; shoot; edit, and upload content as required - Recommend creative ideas based on competitor research and industry trends as required on a per-project basis - Source props for shoots if required - Setup and takedown of photography equipment What we’re looking for: - **BASED IN VICTORIA, BC** or the surrounding area - able to come into the office located in Victoria B.C as required for shoots - 2+ years of previous experience with studio product photography & videography (with a portfolio) - Demonstrated experience with video editing software (Adobe Premiere) including basic color correction, audio mixing - Demonstrated experience with photo editing software (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom) - Artistic ability to compose a shot: understand framing, color, light, props selection, and styling to create a visually appealing image - Strong understanding of creative assets for eCommerce and digital marketing - Excellent time and project management skills and the ability to manage several video & photo projects at once - Engaged in social media and aware of the latest trends.
