We are currently seeking experienced** **Heavy Equipment Technicians to join our** Timmins Construction & Forestry location.**

This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction, aggregate/ crushing units, pavers/ compaction and forestry-based equipment and attachments in a shop environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair heavy duty equipment
- Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Dismantle, repair, and assemble industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to specifications
- Operate hoisting devices to position machinery and parts during assembly, installation, and/or repair activities
- Test and provide constructive feedback on existing and newly manufactured industrial equipment
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
- Prepare electronic inspection and service reports
- Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel
- Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required
- Other duties as required

**Required Skills**:

Required Experience
- Must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel
- Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proven computer and technical aptitude and knowledge for diagnostics and calibration work.
- Demonstrated diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and technical equipment repair needs.
- Strong time-management skills to perform effectively under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, showing an appreciation of customer needs.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- A commitment to high quality customer service with a strong people orientation.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
