**About Us**

**Position Summary**

The in-house Janitor is responsible for ensuring that all areas of the manufacturing plant, office, and common spaces remain clean, hygienic, and well-maintained. This role involves routine cleaning, minor maintenance tasks, waste disposal, and adherence to workplace safety standards - supporting our mission to provide a safe and productive workplace for all employees.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Facility Cleaning and Maintenance**
- Perform daily cleaning of production areas, offices, lunchrooms, washrooms, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust as required.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring restrooms are stocked with supplies.
- Remove garbage, recycling, and scrap materials according to company procedures.

**Production Area Support**
- Maintain clean walkways and workstations in the manufacturing plant.
- Assist in cleaning and organizing storage and supply areas.
- Ensure spills and debris are addressed immediately to prevent safety hazards.

**Minor Maintenance**
- Refill supplies such as paper towels, soap, and cleaning products.
- Report any facility damage, safety hazards, or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
- Assist with light repairs and basic upkeep of equipment and facilities when required.

**Health and Safety Compliance**
- Follow all workplace safety guidelines, including the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals in compliance with WHMIS standards.
- Participate in safety meetings and training as required.

**Maintenance Requirements**
- Routine daily machine maintenance
- Daily Crane, forklift and other equipment checks

**Required Qualifications**:

- Previous janitorial, custodial, or cleaning experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of safe cleaning practices, including handling cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, standing for long periods, and operating cleaning equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.

**Working Environment**:

- Indoor office facility and manufacturing plant with exposure to noise, dust, machinery, and industrial equipment
- Use of PPE as required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
