**Position Title: Facilities Maintenance**
**Reports To**:Public Works Manager
**Position Summary**:
Under the direction of the Public Works Manager, the Facilities maintenance operator performs general labour and operates/maintains a variety of light and heavy-duty equipment, in addition is responsible for general maintenance of the Recreation Centre Complex, Arena, and Public Works buildings, and their associated equipment/fleet. The Facilities Maintenance Operator carries out these duties in compliance with all policies, procedures, regulations and legislation that may be in effect, specifically relating to the health and safety of staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that facilities are operated and maintained effectively and safely
2. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on buildings and facilities.
3. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to buildings and facilities including carpentry and painting
4. Coordinate licensed inspections and repairs as required
5. Coordinate major maintenance and repairs as required to mechanical systems, HVAC systems, boilers and generators
6. Perform all duties in a safe, responsible manner and in compliance with all policies, procedures, regulations and legislation.
7. Assist with snow removal and operation of loader, grader, dump truck, sander, or sidewalk sweeper in accordance with training levels.
8. Assist in the repair and maintenance of water and sewer lines and mains.
9. Repair and maintenance of all municipal equipment as needed per qualifications to perform such maintenance.
10. May be required to supervise summer students or staff ensuring that they are properly trained in the safe operation of town equipment in accordance with all policies, procedures, regulations and legislation specifically with regard to Occupational Health and Safety;
11. Any other duties that may be assigned by the Public Works Manager;
12. Participate in any training or education opportunities requested by Public Works Manager.
Qualifications:
1. Grade 12 General Diploma
2. Valid Class 3 Alberta Provincial Driver’s License with Q Endorsement
3. Security Clearance and Drivers Abstract
4. Pool operations level 1 certification
5. 3 years experience in automotive or plumbing maintenance.
6. Training and experience in the operation of grader, loader, street sweeper, and tandem gravel truck
7. Training and or experience in Building Maintenance
**Salary**: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Beaverlodge, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
