**Pet Sitter & Dog Walker - Independent Contractor (Overnights & Weekend Availability Required | Must Be Local to South London)** _Location: South London, Ontario_

Zoomies Animal Services is looking for a dependable, animal-loving individual to join our team as an Independent Contractor. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about high-quality pet care, has flexible availability—including overnights, weekends, and select holidays—and is committed to growing with a small, locally owned business. All pet care opportunities are based on client demand and are scheduled at the discretion of Zoomies to best match client needs with contractor availability.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- This is an Independent Contractor position within Zoomies Animal Services, not an employee role.
- Provide attentive and compassionate care for pets during overnight stays, drop-ins, and dog walks, including in all safe weather conditions.
- Maintain timely, professional communication with clients during each service.
- Submit a short written “report card” and take a minimum of 5-6 good-quality photos per visit to update clients on their pet’s well-being.
- Follow all safety and care protocols as outlined for each pet and household.
- Be punctual and reliable for all scheduled visits.
- Show respect for clients' homes and belongings.
- Ensure that only the hired contractor is present and responsible for pet care during visits.
- Administer medications as needed—training will be provided if necessary. If you already have experience with this, please note it in your resume or Indeed message.
- Additional daytime pet care opportunities may also become available

**Requirements**:

- Flexible availability, including overnights, weekends, and some holidays.
- Previous experience in pet care or animal handling.
- Full access to a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license.
- Must reside within a 15-minute drive (with traffic) to South, London ON.
- Must live in London, Ontario, and not in the north end.
- Strong written and verbal communication in English.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to following pet-specific care instructions.
- Smartphone with data required for photo updates and communication.
- Ability to bring personal items and food for extended day or overnight sits.
- Police background check (reimbursed upon hire).

We are hoping to find someone who would like to stay with Zoomies for a year or more, and who is excited to grow alongside our team.
