Gain valuable teaching experience. **Oxford Learning Sudbury** is currently seeking full-time teacher-tutors for a role in our learning centre. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys teaching the ins and outs of language, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in this area.

For this position, Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learning will have to lesson plan before class, however programming and some materials are provided. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

**Position Requirements**:
PODS Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learning work during school-hours (8:30am - 3:30pm), Monday to Thursday. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must.

This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. No relocation package is offered. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
- Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
- Teaching certification an asset
- Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 9 curriculum

**Experience**:

- Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 8 (or equivalent) level
- Strong English and FRENCH written and oral communication skills
- Ability to guide students' understanding
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to four students at a time

**Responsibilities (Position Details)**:
The PODS program is a full-day schooling program for children aged 4 - 12 that develops the skills needed to learn and excel in middle school.

The PODS teachers use proprietary materials to teach students language and math skills while science and social studies will be guided using ressources from the OFTP.

You will work directly with our younger students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities:

- Teaching up to 8 students at a time at different levels
- Teaching in-person
- Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
- Filling in post-lesson notes
- Completing daily student communication updates
- Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
