We operate two (2) adjoining properties - Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel and Best Western Parkway Hotel, conveniently located at Highway 7 and Leslie Street in Richmond Hill. Accessible via YRT /VIVA transit, and Highways 7, 404 and 407. We are currently seeking full time and part time Security Associates to join our in-house security team. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following;

The duties of Security Associate include, but are not limited to the following;
1. Respond to all type of occurrences

2. Respond to all hotel alarms, (fire, door and exit alarms)

3. Patrol hotel interior and exterior, inclusive of boiler patrols

4. Ensure compliance with the Liquor License Act through monitoring adherence to our license

5. Monitor camera and Divar recording

6. Monitor swimming pools

7. Rendering first aid when required

8. Open or secure meeting rooms as required

9. Secure Kitchen fridges

10. Turn off unnecessary lights which may be left on

11. Collect breakfast menus from guestrooms for room service

13. Patrol 650 building and check alarms

14. Handle Manager on Duty problems or requests

15. Logging in/out of Key, Radio and pager audits

16. Complete Incident Reports

17. Conduct Employee Bag Checks on arrival and departure

18. Receive courier packages

19. Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries

20. When/where necessary, liaise between hotel and any governmental agencies such as police, fire and any safety regulatory bodies

21. Watch for damage being done to company property, report any unsafe working conditions in any/all departments

22. Other duties as may be assigned by Security Manager or General Manager

Physical Demands; excessive walking, standing, exposed to extreme temperatures as must go from interior to exterior of building during all seasons and weather

Qualifications:
1. Must have completed minimum Secondary School Certificate

2. Must possess a valid Security License for the Province of Ontario

3. Must possess a current First Aid/CPR certification

4. Must be flexible with shift availability (security operates 24 hours/day)

5. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

6. Must have the ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests and employees

7. Must have the ability to read and write English

8. Must have a customer service oriented attitude

9. Previous experience or training within a loss prevention/security field preferred

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 24 - 40 per week
