Key elements of this role include:

- Assist in managing and enhancing our presence on various social media and other digital platforms.
- Support social media content creation and channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube) when required.
- Writing for social and web (blogs, posts)
- Working closely with our Senior Communications Advisor (Internal), you will assist with implementing internal communications strategies and projects.
- Provide operational support for internal events, including logístical and communications requirements.
- Writing and content development, including drafting, editing and distributing communications through various channels.
- Lead the gathering of content, writing and editing of stories for the company’s bi-weekly internal employee newsletter.
- Assist with implementing media relations strategies and projects.
- Provide operational support for external events, including logístical and communications requirements.
- Maintain media contact lists and messaging documentation, monitor media mailbox and provide support for media inquiries.
- Perform a dedicated storm role on the Communications team as needed.
- Provide support for rotational weekend on-call work.
- Perform other communications duties as assigned.

- Degree or diploma in Public Relations, Communications, or equivalent work-related experience.
- 3+ years of experience in Communications
- An understanding of Corporate Communications
- Tech-savvy with Intermediate/Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and listening skills
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly and solve problems
- Strong organization and planning skills
- Detail-oriented but also understands strategy and sees the big picture
- Strong project management skills with a consistent focus on prioritizing projects, communicating project status and meeting deadlines
- Ability to work independently, often with mínimal supervision, in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask, take initiative and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work under pressure and can easily adapt to competing and/or rapidly changing priorities and sees opportunity in change.
