Maintenance Planning Coordinator

**Purpose**:
**Education**:
College diploma or certificate in a relevant discipline (e.g. Engineering Technology, Applied Science, Skilled Trades) or an equivalent of 2 years recent experience (defined as within the last three years) working at York University and performing the same or similar tasks. This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlined below.

**Experience**:
Five (5) years of related work experience, including the following:
Three (3) years of experience with building systems and maintenance operations.
Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
Experience with project planning and execution.

**Skills**:
Thorough understanding of database concepts.
Effective mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Ability to prepare, read, and interpret technical drawings and specifications and analyze the related data. Ability to attend accurately to detail.
Understanding of building systems and operations.
Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgement in dealing with technical matters.
Effective communication skills.
Effective organizational skills and able to manage concurrent priorities.
Effective logical thinker and problem solver.
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Ability to create content and deliver training.
Respects diversity and promotes inclusion in the workplace.
Contributes to an inclusive and diverse team-based, positive work environment. Recognizes diversity of abilities and adapt content, tone, medium, and style to audience to be inclusive.
