**THE ROLE**
Our services are tailored to help families with the challenges they may face due to military life and make the most of everyday activities such as going to the playground or day camp. We believe that when members of the Canadian Armed Forces are able to take good care of themselves and their families, they can do better both at home and at work. Whether families need to sign the kids up for swimming lessons, improve their fitness, make friends in a new community, our services are here to help.
As you will be offering day camp programs and events for families, your task group will be diverse.
Each day will be different as you oversee, coordinate and manage the details of the camp and event programs.
You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and share your passions by mentoring junior staff and volunteers, with the goal of improving the quality of life for our military.
We are looking for energetic, independent and motivated individuals who want to join our team to help make recreation more fun
**QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED** Education, Certifications and Licenses**
College diploma or certificate in Recreation, in Event Managemeny, Tourism or a related field, AND some years of experience in recreation and/or day camp
OR
High school diploma Certification in one recreation program area AND some years of experience in recreation and/or day camp
Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications (an asset)
**Experience**
In planning, organizing and evaluating the operations and delivery of recreation programs and/or day camp
In program development and instruction
In supervising personnel
In supervising the work of volunteers
In budget administration
**Competencies, Skills and Abilities**
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership
**LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS**
French Essential / Bilingual an asset
