**Rate of pay: $36.38 - $46.35 per hour**

We are seeking an experienced Addiction and Mental Health Counsellor I to join our dedicated team. This role involves providing high-quality addiction and mental health services to clients with complex needs, emphasizing stabilization, ongoing care, and treatment planning. The counsellor will work collaboratively with the integrated addiction programs and will collaborate with Balmoral Centre, Crossroads, Sister Margaret Smith Centre and the Lodge on Dawson.

**Qualifications**:

- A Bachelor Degree in Social Work or equivalent from an accredited University.
- Registration with a relevant professional regulatory body.
- Minimum of 3 years experience within the adult addiction and mental health field.
- Experience working with individuals who are homeless or at risk for homelessness
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Experience with group facilitation, case management, and individual counselling
- Proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities for addiction and mental health.
- Experience in crisis intervention and non-violent crisis de-escalation.
- Experience with an interdisciplinary bio-psychosocial model of care
- Demonstrated understanding of Northern and Indigenous communities
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License with access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as per organizational requirements.

**CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT**
This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
